Learning American History is anything but a passive activity. To do well in this class, and in all your classes for that matter, you need to take an active role in the learning process. You will not successfully learn all the material by simply coming to class everyday, listening to most of what your teacher says, then repeating it all on your next homework assignment or test. One of the keys to actively learning the material (and doing very well in this class) is by asking questions. Quite simply: if you're not always asking questions about the class material, you're not doing enough. You're encouraged (better yet, implored) to ask questions about the material in class. Unfortunately though, our time together in class is severely limited (45 minutes a day is not nearly enough!). So, here are the best ways to contact Mr. Hennessy when you have a question outside of class time: Before and During School: In PA 201 or in the Social Studies office (103) from 7:35 Mod G: In the James Building, near the entrance of the cafe After School: Usually in 201 until about 3:15 At night, on weekends, over breaks: email mhennessy@mansd.org
